Filling up spare time on public holiday…

Its still public holiday today. Catch up with some work emails in the morning and filling up my remaining morning with some macro shots around the house. My nieces are waiting for us to bring them to beach again since yesterday the weather wasn’t that good. Today also marks the “koh chung” festival (chinese dumplings), so in the afternoon, we will be up in my uncle’s place for prayers.

By using the Olympus Zuiko Digital lens 40-150mm, I managed to shot this flower from my bedroom. Although the lens is pretty much under utilise, shall find a specific subject that I can utilise the zoom lens for.

Harvest Festival – 30th & 31st

I am on two days public holiday due to Sabah's Harvest Festival celebration. Took the time to clean up the aquarium and brought my nieces out. They've been bugging my wife and I to go to the beach but lately the weather has been pretty wet every afternoon.

33 Weeks!

 

Beginning today, our baby is 33 weeks old. There's just 7 more weeks to go before the home run begins. This means less than 2 months more to expect our new beautiful new born baby. Mummy had just completed her bi-weekly review this morning and everything is fine. I asked Dr. Krishen if delivery would be early but he said he is not sure. The only person who decides when the baby is due is the baby herself. So I guess we have to wait and see for the moment to come. Will upload a scanned ultrasound image soon.

33 Weeks!

Farewell, Mr. Reinboth

Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu's outgoing General Manager, Mr. Winston Reinboth, will be leaving Kota Kinabalu with a heavy heart. He has tendered his resignation and decided to move back to Sydney, Australia. Winston was with Le Meridien since its pre-opening time way back in June 2006. I was one of the many applicants whom he interviewed.

It has been a wonderful experience having work with him for almost one year. My wife and I wish him all the best in his future undertakings.

The post of General Manager will now be undertaken by Mr. Urs Weisskopf, who was transferred over from Sheraton Bandung Hotels and Towers. A new Financial Controller, Albert Yap, will also start on 5th of June. Welcome aboard!

Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu’s outgoing General Manager, Mr. Winston Reinboth, will be leaving Kota Kinabalu with a heavy heart.
