102 Posts but 406 comments!

Stats as of yesterday, 29th November 2006

Inspired by Sasha’s 100th post post, I just realized I have actually posted 102 post (including this one) as of today. However, I’m not going to shout about my 102 post but I’m very much surprised and happy that I have 406 comments all contributed mainly by blogging Mummies/Daddies in the Internet. I’d say that this 406 comments happened within three months since my own hosted blog started. That’s about 135 comments per month. Thank you for your support!

Comment spam protection

Due to increasing spam occurring in my blog lately through the comment form, I decided to install a comment spam protection to it. Before I hardly get any spam at all, not even one a day. Nowadays, I get at least a minimum of five spam per day. I think this is due to the increased exposure of my blog in the Internet. From Technorati, I can see my blog rank rosed from 700,000 to 384,000 now. From other tracking plugins I installed also show noticeable increased in traffic. Some of these were due to the type of topic that I post in my blog. Post topic like “The Beginning” drama has helped increased traffic to my blog as people who were searching for this title in Google were referred to my blog.

Solid food

My wife has recently fed Raelynne with some solid food. It started few days ago and this time she’s more receptive to it. I guess when she crosses the five months mark, there were some changes and she’s quite happy with the solid food. We bought the Nestle baby rice few weeks ago, but was not successful in feeding her with it because she couldn’t wait as it was too slow for her. Nowadays, she will have two solid food feedings. One in the morning and one in the evening. It would last her at least 4 hours plus before she cries for milk.

Mmmm… yummy.

So solid food has started, she also can turn herself fully just that she can’t turn and lift her head up so she ended up turning 3/4 of her body only. The only thing she’s not doing is sleep through the night.

Anyway, weekend was usual for us. We went to my in law’s place. Raelynne didn’t like it much at first, most probably because she has not been there for two weeks. Last week we didn’t go there. After sending her there, my wife and I took the opportunity to “pak toh” again, this time for almost the whole afternoon. Then we went back to in law’s place to have dinner before going back home.

The end of The Beginning

As requested by a few readers who left a comment at “The Beginning” post, I decided to blog about the ending which was screened last night.

My wife and I attended a wedding last night but for various reasons, we left early from the wedding, mainly because Raelynne was at home with my Mum and I also want to catch the final episode of this drama.

It was a happy ending afterall. The last episode went back to what was shown in the first episode. In the first episode, Fang Yu Cheng, Shi Jia Ning and Tie Tou were at the rooftop where Yu Cheng was helding Jia Ning hostage. After some fighting between Yu Cheng and Tie Tou, both of them fell off the roof top. Yu Cheng landed on the road, while Tie Tou landed on a lorry filled with mattresses which more or less saved him.

However, Yu Cheng did not die instantly and was in the ICU. But in the end, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Before that, he promised Ting Li that he would cure her eye sight and promised to let her see the world. Ting Li was blinded when she fell and some shattered glass injured her eye sight.

So what happened was that Yu Cheng donated his cornea to Ting Li before he died. He told Ting Li that he wanted to repent long time ago but could not turn back from what he has done. I guess the last thing he could do to repent is to donate his cornea to Ting Li. As for Tie Tou and Jia Ning, they are finally together again in the end, watching the shooting stars.

I guess the ending is quite normal. It also didn’t touch about what happened to Hua Kang, the company that Yu Cheng manages for his uncle and what happened to the two brothers Zhi Yang and Zhi Rong.

Next week, there’s a new drama replacing The Beginning. I just wonder if it would be as good as The Beginning. From the preview, doesn’t seem like it…

Happy Birthday Poh Poh!

Today is my Poh Poh’s birthday (Mummy’s mother). Daddy and Mummy brought both Poh Poh and Kung Kung to the hotel restaurant where Daddy work. When we reach there, I was so happy just like this morning when I went to see my paed.

At home before going to dinner. My dress nice or not?

Everyone had buffet dinner there and as usual, I don’t like to sit anyone who carry me to sit down. They must carry me and walk around so that I can see things. If not I will whine and worst, cry. So Mummy carry me while Daddy eat and then Daddy carry me while Mummy eat and then Poh Poh carry me while Daddy and Mummy eat.

By 8pm, I start to become cranky already because I am sleepy and I can’t find my bed to sleep. I must sleep in my bed one else I will not sleep. So I start to whine and whine. Why still haven’t go home yet one? I’m sleepy. Please take me home so I can sleep. The staff at the hotel there all like to talk to me and smile at me. Since I’m sleepy already, I don’t feel like smiling lor. I can see Daddy ask the staff fast fast take the cake out cos he know need to go home and put me to sleep already.

Almost all the restaurant staff came out with the cake and started singing birthday song to Poh Poh. Mummy and I were not near Poh Poh lor, cos I’m cranky mah. I want to “oi oi”. After sing song, Poh Poh blew the candle and cut the cake. Daddy want Mummy and me inside photo, but again I’m cranky mah. So end up in the photo only got Poh Poh inside there.

Anyway, Poh Poh ah, Happy Birthday ah… sorry I’m not in the photo with you, as you know, I’m cranky already there. Next time must have dinner at 6.30pm already, not later than that.

Raelynne is 5 months old

It has been five months since Raelynne was born. Its been that long, at least it felt that long. However, there’s so much development for the past five months for her. Nowadays she’s getting smarter and smarter. Can you imagine she can now take out her “chut chut” (pacifier) and throw it on the floor? Not only that, even her Winnie the Pooh also can be thrown on the floor from the bed and its quite heavy.

A normal weekend

I have been quite busy these two days especially with internal training, thus only got time to blog today. We just had a normal quiet weekend, nothing special. I helped my cousin to fix up his computer, had to reformat. His son installed so many games in there that they can’t even get online, so had to wipe everything off. That took half of a Saturday and some hours on Sunday morning.

See, Raelynne’s signature mouth as my Mum says. Always show unhappy one, but actually she’s not unhappy. When she wants to smile, she would show her mouth like in the photo first also.

Puppy call @ 5am

Gosh, my wife and I feel so sleepy these few days. Why? Raelynne’s sleeping pattern has changed quite a bit. First of all, when she sleeps, her body can turn 180 degrees or sometimes even 360 degrees. One thing for sure, I call it “lari alignment”. So now she actually sleeps on our bed because when she sleep in her cot, everything goes haywire inside there. If she sleep on the bed, we can still monitor her movement.

Usually, she would wake up the earliest around 6.30am. However, today ah, she woke up at 5am! As usual, started with the puppy call (whining) then when no one care for her, she started to cry. Her feeding time also between three to four hours now. When we try to increase her feeding just to see if it will extend her sleeping time, but no, she can’t even finished it, so switch back to normal feeding levels. I think she’s just under going some changes in her sleeping pattern but unfortunately this sleeping pattern changes happened at night time.

Have anyone watched “The Beginning” on NTV7 every weekday from 9.30pm? I have been following this episode since it premieres on 16th October. Its a Malaysian production and in my personal opinion, probably one of the best drama I have watched. Its almost as comparable as a Hong Kong TVB drama. Its in Mandarin and probably would help me brush up my Mandarin skills

What is the fastest way…

to cure ulcer?

I have been having this ulcer for two days now and its really irritating. I can’t enjoy my food nor drinks. I used this greenish powder (melon something) bought from China which is quite effective in soothing the irritation and occasionally pain. But I want a fast painless solution so that I can go back eating and enjoying food. Don’t tell me to use salt, cos’ that will surely make me scream like mad but I know its proven effective. However, I don’t like the feeling.

I think its my fault also. With the ulcer, my wife and I ate KFC yesterday for lunch, which is heaty and caused the ulcer not to get any better.

Any other effective methods that can cure within one day?

Weekend

From Saturday onwards, Raelynne’s runny nose has disappeared and since then aircon is back in operation again but the temperature is kept at around 29 C, which can still be chilly during midnight and early morning. We didn’t do much on Saturday afternoon, since we have already been going out for the past two days when I was off. Spend most of the time at home. Finally I managed to take a photo of the new stroller which I posted on 29th October.

Back to work

After being off for two days, I’m back to work today for half day. I’m already missing Raelynne at home after the two full days spent with her. This morning when I say bye bye to her, she gave a sad face with her mouth bended down. I hope she doesn’t cry after I left as my wife said sometimes she would cry not long after I left the house. Anyway, it will only be half day today, so I get the whole afternoon and whole day tomorrow with her again.

So far, I think she’s getting better already. Hopefully her runny nose will be fully disappeared today. Last night we still sleep without having the aircon turned on, but it was so hot. The thunder was making noise, but then no rain! No wonder so hot. It only rained a little bit.
