Raelynne Wong Sheng Tao

Baby Raelynne has got a full name! It took her “kung kung” (grandfather/my father in law) three days to search for a suitable name. Her middle name “Sheng” has already been fixed for our generation thus only the last given name is required. My father in law has a book where one can search for a suitable name based on the date and time of birth. It must also match the surname and middle given name. Many suggestions were also given by my sister in law, but after checking with book, it wasn’t suitable for her.

There were two options, one was Sheng Ti and one was Sheng Tao. My wife and I decided to pick Sheng Tao after consulting with my father and sister in law. Tao means ‘peach’ in English.

Baby Raelynne Wong Sheng Tao, you now have a full name and Daddy can go and make your birth certificate tomorrow.

By the way, managed to capture Baby Raelynne with her eyes opened this afternoon.

Baby Raelynne and Mummy has come home

Baby Raelynne and Mummy has returned home yesterday after doctor certified that they can go home. It was the first day that we started as full time parents. Baby Raelynne has been consistent in her feeding time, which is every three hours. I am trying to get use to waking up in the middle of the night. So far Baby Raelynne has been behaving quite well. She is currently the VVIP in the house. Our room has become more or less a nursery for my nieces. They spend more time in our room now and Baby Raelynne is the centre of the attraction. In a day we can pick up her normal habits and behaviour. She’s sensitive to light and sound. Oh yes, she doesn’t like to be disturb when she’s sleeping, and of course don’t like to be in dirty diapers.

We are still deciding on her Chinese name. My father in law is still looking for a suitable name and a few suggestions has been provided. Hopefully by today we are able to decide on her Chinese name.
